The route
One line, northwest to the lakefront
From the northwest boulevards down to the river and back up the lakefront. Six neighborhoods on one line, and three of them are on sale now: River North, West Loop and Lincoln Park, each on all three nights. 21+ with valid government issued ID.

The boulevards empty out first. By last call there is more streetlight than crowd, and whoever is still walking home is doing it alone.

Stops sit on true relative geography, northwest at the left and Lake Michigan at the right. Rail lines are the real CTA service at the nearest station to each neighborhood.

Citywide Pass
One purchase, every crawl-night: October 24, 30 and 31.
We sold a two-neighborhood combo pass in 2025 and never put it in front of anyone. Thirty-one people found it. One person bought both neighborhoods separately and paid more than they needed to. This year it is the main product.
Citywide Pass holders get the welcome shot and a token for every stop at every neighborhood they attend, first pick of check-in windows, and a wristband for each night.

Written to be un-weaselable, because this is the section the category loses on.
A free welcome shot at check-in
Handed to you at the check-in venue when you collect your wristband. One per ticket, at the bar, while you are there. It is the reason to arrive inside your window rather than at eleven.
One drink token for every stop on your route
Not a discount the bar was already running. Not a coupon you argue about. A card with one tear-off tab per venue, each tab printed with that venue's name. The bartender tears the tab and the drink is covered outright, so nobody has to do arithmetic at a busy rail.
The door at every stop, inside that stop's window
Your wristband gets you in without a cover charge at each venue during the window we publish for that venue. Windows differ by bar. We publish all of them with the confirmed lineup, before you buy, so you can see that the late venue opens at ten and the early one closes at nine.
The route, the times and a person at check-in
A printed and digital route with addresses, walking times and each venue's window. Staff at the check-in table with the list, for the whole window, not for the first thirty minutes.

Most of our venues run Halloween drink specials. Those specials are the bar's, they are open to anyone who walks in, and we do not count them as part of what you paid for. We publish them because they are useful. We do not sell them to you as included drinks.
A special is published with its own window, separate from the door window. The two are not the same clock and we do not print them as though they were.

Every photograph on this site is River North 2025. West Loop ran in 2025 and was not photographed, and Wicker Park, Logan Square, Lincoln Park and Wrigley are new this year. We are not going to show you River North and call it Logan Square.

Every stop runs its own room and its own DJ, so the crawl does not sound like one playlist. This is what the season sounds like in the meantime.

The night
How it works
Pick your night and your neighborhood
Six routes, each running on October 24, 30 and 31. Each neighborhood-night is a separate ticket. Citywide Pass covers all of them.
Buy, and choose a check-in window
Windows are capped. We sell a fixed number of wristbands per window so that the check-in table is never the reason you are standing outside.
Collect your wristband
At the pickup party earlier in the week, or at the check-in venue inside your window on the night. Bring your ID. Times and locations are on the wristband pickup page.
Walk the route
Welcome shot at check-in, then a token at each stop. Your wristband covers the door at each venue inside that venue's published window.

The list
The venue list, and when it locks
Every venue on every route is published on a date we name in advance, with its address, its door window and its drink special window. From that date the list is locked.
If a venue drops out after the lock date
We tell every ticket holder by text and email within 24 hours, name the replacement, and you can transfer your ticket to another Crawlloween night or to another person at no cost.
Until the lock date, here is where we actually ran in 2025
Two rows per stop, on purpose. The door window and the drink special window are separate clocks and we do not print them as though they were one.

Costume contest
In 2025 we paid $500 cash in River North and $250 cash in West Loop. Entry was posting your costume on the night and tagging @bizzy.nights.
2026 runs three nights, so the prize structure and the official rules publish with the lineup. Judging happens at a named venue at a named time, not by whoever the promoter likes.

Six questions, and you get one of four alter egos with a costume direction, an effort level and a budget you can actually hit before October.
Then, if you want it, add a photo and get a portrait of the finished look to post. That step is optional, and Crawlloween does not save the photo.

Check-in
Wristband pickup
You need a physical wristband to walk the route. There are two ways to get one.
Pickup party, earlier in the week
Attendee-only. Free shot for the first hundred through the door, candy, and the costume-contest briefing. In 2025 this ran at Joy District, 112 W Hubbard St, 8pm to midnight on the Thursday.
Check-in on the night
At your route's check-in venue, inside the window you chose when you bought. Staff at the table with the list, for the whole window.
Bring valid government-issued photo ID. 21+, no exceptions.
Collecting for a friend? You need their barcode or QR code. Their name is not enough, and staff will turn you away without it.
No countdown, no fake scarcity
Prices step up on dates we publish in advance. When a check-in window sells out it closes, because we cap how many wristbands we hand out per window and a full window means a line. Those are the only two clocks on this site, and both of them are real.

Frequently asked
What does the ticket include?
A free welcome shot at the check-in venue, one drink token per stop on your route, and entry without a cover charge at every venue during that venue's published door window. Plus the printed route and entry to the costume contest.
Are drinks included?
One free welcome shot, and then one token per stop, which the bartender tears off your card. Beyond that, you buy your own drinks. Most venues run Halloween specials that night, and we publish those, but the specials are the bar's and they are open to anyone who walks in. We do not count them as part of your ticket.
Do I still pay a cover charge at each bar?
No, not inside the published window for that venue. Windows vary by bar. A late venue might open to wristbands at 10pm and an early one might close at 9pm, and we publish every window with the lineup before you buy.
Which neighborhoods run on which night?
Three are on sale and each runs all three nights: River North, West Loop and Lincoln Park. So on any of the three nights you have those three to choose between, and you buy one neighborhood on one night. Wicker Park is being confirmed for Friday October 30 and Saturday October 31, and Logan Square and Wrigley for Saturday October 24.
When does the 2026 venue list publish?
On a date we name in advance, with addresses, door windows and drink special windows. The 2025 routes for River North and West Loop are already published on this page if you want to see the shape of it.
What happens if a venue drops out after I buy?
We text and email every ticket holder within 24 hours, name the replacement, and you can transfer to another Crawlloween night or to another person at no cost.
Can I get a refund, and can I transfer my ticket?
The 2026 transfer and refund policy publishes on the terms page before tickets go on sale. It will say what it says plainly, and it will not be the 2025 wording.
What is the age requirement?
21 and over with valid government-issued photo ID. No exceptions, at check-in or at any venue on the route.
Can I pick up a wristband for a friend?
Yes, with their barcode or QR code. Without it, no.
How far is the walking?
It depends on the neighborhood, and every route page publishes its own distance. Logan Square is 0.6 miles and 12 to 14 minutes. Wicker Park is 0.8 miles and 15 to 17 minutes, with the longest single hop under eight. River North sits mostly inside a four-block box, which is why its hops are the shortest we run.
Which neighborhood should I pick?
If you want the biggest crowd and the shortest hops, River North. If you want to be out past 2am, Wicker Park, where bars hold 4am licences. If you want games, a dance floor and the tightest cluster of bars, Logan Square. If you want to eat halfway through, West Loop. Lincoln Park and Wrigley are new this year, so pick one of those if you want the version nobody has walked yet.
What is the difference between one neighborhood and Citywide Pass?
A neighborhood ticket covers one route on one night. Citywide Pass covers every crawl-night across October 24, 30 and 31, on one purchase, and costs less than buying them separately.
There is another event using the name Crawlloween. Is it yours?
No. A different company is running a West Loop event under the same name on October 31. Ours is run by Bizzy Nights, your confirmation email comes from Bizzy Nights, and every ticket link on this site goes to our listing. Check the organizer name before you buy, on either site.
Does it run if it rains?
Yes. Rain or shine.
Do prices go up?
Yes, on dates we publish. The ladder and the next step-up date go on this page and on every neighborhood page.
